On 12 July 2025, Assam Rifles hosted ‘A Day with Company Commander’ at Kadamtala, bringing together 82 students (48 boys and 34 girls) and 4 teachers from Jiri College and Jiribam Higher Secondary School. The event aimed to give the youth insight into the daily routine and operations of the Assam Rifles.
The students received an overview of the capabilities and responsibilities of Assam Rifles. They were also shown various equipment currently being used by Assam Rifles, followed by an intense volleyball match, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. To top it up, an impressive display by trained Assam Rifle dogs captivated everyone alongside a thrilling demonstration of slithering skills demo by highly skilled soldiers. The day ended with screening of a documentary showcasing the history, roles, and achievements of the Assam Rifles and small career guidance session.
A lunch was also hosted for all students and teachers while actively interacting with Assam Rifles personnel. The students expressed their enthusiasm and requested more such interactions in the future, fostering a strong bond between the youth and Assam Rifles.
