● Following the recent flood rescue efforts in Tripura and West Manipur,, the stagnant water and increased humidity levels have created an environment conducive to mosquito borne diseases and sanitation related concerns, posing a serious health hazard to civilians.
Assam Rifles have initiated proactive measures in Tripura to control the spread of health-related diseases.
On 05 June 2025, Assam Rifles undertook fogging in flood affected areas of Chandrapur and Resham Bagan, under Sadar Sub Division, West Tripura District. About 120 internally displaced people, due to floods, were screened for various ailments and necessary treatment and distribution of medicines were carried out. The medical team of Assam Rifles quickly attended to an unconscious 40 years old female and successfully resuscitated her.
