Tezpur, November 15: Air Marshal DK Patnaik AVSM VM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air
Command alongwith Mrs Anutadha Patnaik, President, Air Force Wives Welfare
Association (Regional), Eastern Air Command visited Air Force Station Hasimara, a
premier airbase in West Bengal on 13 and 14th November.
They were received by Air
Commodore Ashish Srivastava VM VSM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station
Hasimara.
The Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief interacted with all personnel at base. During
the interaction he emphasised on the key role to be played by the base in view of the new
induction of Rafale Fighter Jets.
He stressed upon the need to be focused and vigilant
owing to the strategic location of the station, especially in the present geo-political
scenario. He touched upon the various initiatives being taken by IAF in terms of Human
Resource Management. He exhorted all personnel to remain physically fit and mentally
agile to undertake all tasks in service to the nation.
The interaction was conducted while
adhering to the Covid protocols as laid down by the Govt of India.
