Assam Rifles Quick Reaction Team (QRT) responded swiftly to a fire incident near Kaimai Company Operating Base late evening on 18 Dec 25.
On receipt of information, the QRT quickly mobilised, reached the location and undertook fire fighting measures.
The fire, which had broken out in an outhouse was effectively contained, preventing it from spreading to the main residential structure thereby saving it from damage.
No casualties were reported in the incident and preliminary assessment revealed that the fire was caused due to an unattended stove left burning .
The prompt response by Assam Rifles once again demonstrated its commitment to safeguarding lives and providing timely assistance to the local population.
