ASSAM RIFLES PAYS TRIBUTE TO ITS BRAVEHEARTS
Lokra Battalion under the aegis of Headquarter 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) paid tribute to its bravehearts who have laid down their life in the line of duty by conducting a Wreath Laying ceremony at Unit War Memorial on 29 October 2022.
Havildar (late) Luhit Gogoi of 17 Assam Rifles had made the supreme sacrifice on 15 June 2017 in Manipur during an encounter with insurgent group which included attack on own convoy through an Improvised Explosive Device followed by intense firefight.
The Battalion representative also spoke with the families of the martyr and inquired about their well-being
