● In a dedicated effort to provide quality healthcare in remote regions, Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp in Longpi village, Nungba Sub Division, in Manipur.
The initiative aimed to diagnosis the health and well-being of local residents by delivering essential medical care and health awareness consultations at grassroots level.
A total of 194 villagers, including 62 women, 85 men and 47 children from Longpi village and adjoining areas actively participated, reflecting the far reaching impact of the outreach.
Led by a qualified Medical Officer, Assam Rifles medical team provided free consultations, distributed essential medicines and educated attendees on primary healthcare practices and preventive care. The effort was focused not only on treatment but also on educating on health awareness and promoting community well-being.
This humanitarian outreach also fostered a spirit of unity and mutual trust, reinforcing the continued commitment of Assam Rifles to the motto of being the ‘Sentinels of the North East’, working tirelessly not just for security, but also for the welfare of the people.
