Guwahati :Minister for Water Resources, Information and Public Relations, Government of Assam, Pijush Hazarika, Minister of State for Arunachal Pradesh Mama Natung along with The Assam Administrative Officers College at Khanapara in Guwahati today participated in an important meeting of the Regional Committee formed to resolve the boundary issue between the two states.In September last year, members of regional committees of the two states led by the two ministers had held a meeting in Guwahati in October after visiting four villages between Biswanath in Assam and Pake Kisang districts of Arunachal Pradesh. A meeting met again today to discuss the final report prepared by the committee. According to the decision taken at the Chief Minister-level meeting between the two states held at Namsai last year, the regional committee formed to resolve the boundary dispute in the villages of Bibadman Baliso, Dipik, Paso and Dikalmukh It has finalized the report focusing on interactions with locals during the visit and their wishes and reluctance. The two ministers of the two states and other members of the committee adopted and finalised the report to resolve the boundary dispute in the region. At the same time, minister Hazarika said in the meeting that the committee has succeeded in resolving the boundary issue entrusted to the regional committee as per the Namsai agreement.
