ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES TREE PLANTATION DRIVE AND YOGA TO MARK THE CELEBRATION OF THE WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
ASOM KHOBOR Biswanath 6 June:-
Sonitpur Lokra Bn under the aegis of HQ 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organized a tree plantation drive and Yoga on 05 June with the aim to celebrate World Environment Day and to promote the Government of India initiative of Tree plantation and Yoga. A total of 100 saplings of Ashoka tree, Guava and Elephant Apples were planted during the event. Yoga was also conducted at various locations of Lokra Garrison, Itakhola, Balipukhri and Dhekiajuli in the districts of Sonitpur and Biswanath Charali of Assam. The event was aimed to raise awareness among all rks and local people to protect the environment and contributing towards restoring the ecosystem.
