● Assam Rifles conducted a Civil Society Organisation (CSO) meeting at Boro Bekera Company Operating Base in Pherzawl District on 21 April 2026 to enhance coordination with local communities and strengthen peace measures in the region.
The meeting was attended by village chairmen, community representatives, and youth leaders from surrounding areas. Discussions focused on cooperation between villagers and security forces to ensure peace and stability. The need for discouraging movement of UG elements in villages, timely sharing of information on suspicious activities, and the need for community support during security operations was also discussed.
Emphasis was also laid on avoiding interference during operations and encouraging women’s groups to actively support peace initiatives.
