National Integration Tour (NIT) under Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme for a group of 17 members of Jiri Ima Meira Paibei Apunba Lup (JIMPAL) hailing from Jiribam, Manipur was flagged in by Maj Gen Inderjit Singh Bhinder, Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) at Srikona, Assam.

The tour which spread over 11 days covered Guwahati, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Puri and Shillong, exploring India’s rich cultural heritage and diversity.
The tour visited the revered Kamakhya Devi and Umanada Temple at Guwahati followed by Victoria Palace and Eco Park at Kolkata.

In Odisha the participants interacted with Hon’ble Governor of Odisha at Raj Bhawan, Bhubaneswar and also paid obeisance at the revered Jagannath Temple in Puri.
In Shillong the team had the proud privilege to interact with Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles.
During the interaction at Srikona, Inspector General Assam Rifles East inquired about their experiences and exhorted them to share their positive experiences with their community so that in future more people volunteer for such initiatives.
By investing in such initiatives, Assam Rifles remains committed towards nation building, community development and national integration.

The 11 day tour for a group of 17 members of Jiri Ima Meira Paibei Apunba Lup (JIMPAL) hailing from Jiribam, Manipur covered iconic and cultural landmarks in Guwahati, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Puri and Shillong, exploring India’s rich cultural heritage and diversity.
The participants also interacted with Hon’ble Governor of Odisha at Bhubaneswar and Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General Assam Rifles at Shillong.
