In Tatbung village, rising water levels posed a serious threat to several families. Assam Rifles responded swiftly by providing vital ration supplies, preventing further hardship to the affected population.
In an another incident, where 62 civilians were stranded in Tuisilen village due to floods on Jiribam Tipaimikh rd, Assam Rifles swiftly evacuated them by employing boats and distributed essential items to them.
Simultaneously, landslides were reported at Sejang village on JT Road, on NH 37 between Shanti Khunou and Barak Bridge and between New Kaiphundai and Barak Bridge. Assam Rifles immediately coordinated with local authorities and deployed resources including JCBs and manpower to clear the debris and restored the connectivity at the earliest.
