The relentless flood relief efforts in the Silchar Town of Assam by the Srikona Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 21 Sector Assam Rifles & IGAR (East) continues for eleventh consecutive day.
Assam Rifles extended a helping hand to the flood victims in the City of Silchar and Srikona.
The Medical teams of Srikona Battalion reached out to the local populace suffering from floods in the rural areas. The Srikona Battalion abreast by its extensive relief operations in the city rendered necessary medical aid to the flood victims.
Medical aid post was set up to assess, advice and counsel health issues of around 122 locals to include 36 Children, 45 Women and 41 Men. The humanitarian efforts to include setting up of med camp, distribution of flood relief aid and distribution of drinking water are being highly appreciated by the locals. The success of the camps highlights the robust bilateral relations between Assam Rifles and local populace.
