Tezpur, (Assam) : Assam has been reel human elephant conflict since long decades ago . The forest department of State government taking various schemes to metigate the burning issue ,
but no fruit .
A group of Wild elephant regularly creating havoc in Behali ,Rangshali,Botiyamari area under Biswanath division of forest last couple of days .
People of this villagers have been spent sleepless nights to fear wild elephant .
In Assam during last 10 years altogether 890 people were died during human elephant conflict .
The wild elephant destroyed agricultural crops in the paddy field and destroyed standing crops .
People of Behali Rangshali area spent sleepless nights .
Two person were died in Sonitpur district under Chariduar police station on November 16th night . According to official sources a lonly wild herd traveling in the area and attacked a person on Chariduar Bhalukpong road after that the elephant destroyed some rice grain which was collect by a villagers at Sonaisiri and killed one Ahit Rabha at his home .
The forest department of Assam and wildlife organization with collaboration of WWF has been putting radio coller to the wild elephant .

Where exactly is the wild elephant located, The forest department and the Wildlife Organisation have already taken steps to set up this Radio Coller to find out the exact details of how many elephants the herd has, which elephant has come and the herd of wild elephants and whether the herd of wild elephants is coming out of the Sonai-Rupa wildlife sanctuary or from The Namari National Park.
Senior doctor Dr Kushal Konwar Sharma said that radio collar are an advanced technology. This allows the movement of wild animals to be monitored with the help of satellites.
To reduce conflict between humans and wild elephants, information about elephant movements is being sought to be installed on the necks of two wild elephants in the reddened area for early gain.
It may be recalled that the people of the larger area under the Amaribari forest office in Sonitpur district have to be covered by wild elephant menace.
Wild elephants have entered the forest area from time to time and destroyed the fields as well as damaged property and human resources.
The forest elephant’s habitat moves to the public due to lack of land, food and water as the forest is shrinking parallel to deforestation.
Even today, the human society’s attempt to chase away the wild elephant, fearing the terror of a wild elephant who knows the deity, has become a routine task.
On the contrary, for the first time, the WWF and the forest department have taken experimental measures to prevent elephant conflict .
It is mentioned that India is the second largest elephant population after Karnataka (6049) ,
Assam is home for 5,719 Asian elephant till 2017 census . Due to rampant deforestation and big scarcity of elephant food human elephant conflict rising day by day .
As reports provide by the wildlife officials 890 human lost during last 10 years in Assam , in sonitpur district highest death recorded during this time it goes 124 ,and in Udalguri 118 and Goalpara district in 78 persons were died .
