● Assam Rifles on 09 May 2024 conducted a weapon and equipment display for children and students at Jiri College, Kadamtala in Jiribam District of Manipur. A total of 250 students from five local schools of kuki, meitei and mixed composition, including the Gilgil Orphanage from a local kuki village attended the said event.
The event commenced with children and teachers, arriving for the event, all simmering with excitement. The event unfolded with a short introduction by the company commander, following which, the children were thrilled to see, touch and feel the weapons and equiments. The children interacted with the display team which was inclusive of riflewomen, who proudly briefed the children and attended to their curiosities. The students ecstatically, held the weapons and equipments in their hands with a sense of pride.
The display concluded with a group interaction and tea, in which the students expressed their enthusiasm to join Armed Forces and serve the nation with pride and glory.
