IN A JOINT OPERATION ASSAM RIFLES CLEARS TWO ACRES OF ILLEGAL POPPY PLANTATION IN KAIMAI

In a series of successful anti-narcotics operations, Assam Rifles in a joint operation with Manipur Police, CRPF, IRB and Forest Department cleared two acres of illegal Poppy plantation in Kaimai, Tamenglong district of Manipur on 19 Feb 25.
The destroyed plantation is worth approximately Rs 15 Lakhs. By conducting regular patrols, Assam Rifles aims to prevent cultivation of poppy and disrupt supply chain of narcotics in the region.
This operation is a testament of Assam Rifles’ commitment to eradicating drug menace and maintaining law and order in Manipur.
