Assam Rifles conducted a meeting with the shopkeepers and business community of Jakuradhar, Madhopur, Narayanpur, Harinagar and Durgapur, all situated in Jiribam District, Manipur on 06 July 2025, with the primary objective of fostering cooperation and awareness on key issues affecting the region.
A total of 78 individuals from the business community attended the meeting, with the agenda focused on three crucial aspects: preventing the movement of illegal goods and contrabands via vehicles and along the river route via Barak River, checking of vehicles carrying goods to prevent transportation of illegal substances and the importance of sharing information in real-time to support law enforcement efforts.
By engaging with the local business community, Assam Rifles aims to create a collaborative environment that promotes safety, security, and responsible business practices. This initiative underscores the commitment to maintaining law and order while ensuring the well-being of the community.
