On 13 Jul, Assam Rifles has successfully intercepted a consignment of explosives including 400 gelatin sticks and 400 detonators being smuggled in the region. An individual has also been apprehended by the security forces alongwith the consignment who has been handed over to Kalain Police Station, Cachar for further legal proceedings.
Based on the specific intelligence provided by intelligence agencies about the movement of a substantial quantity of explosives, Assam Rifles swiftly launched an operation in coordination with Assam Police on Thursday evening that has resulted in successfully foiling illegal attempts of disturbing the existing peaceful chord between people.
