Lokra Battalion of Assam Rifles in collaboration with Tezpur District Sports Association inaugurates a 10 day Women Football League to promote ‘Mahila Yuva Sashaktikaran’ initiative under the campaign of Azaadi ka Amrit Mohatsav

Lokra Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 21 Sector and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) in collaboration with Tezpur District Sports Association inaugurated a women football league to mark the celebration of 75 years of Independence and to promote ‘Mahila Yuva Sashaktikaran’ initiative pioneered by Lokra Battalion of Assam Rifles on 25th July 2022.The event will be conducted from 25th Jul to 05 Aug 22. During the league a total of 10 matches will be played.
The Aim of the League is to promote greater participation of women in sports and bringing youth closer together through common interest of sportsmanship and competition. A total of 5 teams will be participating namely.
DGAR women’s football team. JN women’s football academy. Sonabheel TE women’s football team. Dhekiajuli Town club women’s football academy. Rangapara College women football team.Each team will get an opportunity to play a match with all the participating teams.
