Sonitpur Lokra Battalion distributed essential food supplies in the flood struk areas of Silchar

Lokra Battalion under the aegis of HQ Sect 21 and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) distributed essential food supplies and rations in gen area Sonai (Silchar) Cachar District, on 28 June 2022.
The worsened Flood situation in Cachar District has led to the areas of Sonai village becoming inaccessible by road. Assam Rifles assisted with tps from Engr units distributed essential ration items to the locals and helped them in their fight for survival.The following items were distributed as a Relief material,Rice – 1700 kg, Dal – 240 kg, Refined Oil – 80 ltr, Salt – 150 kg
The relief material was distributed to approximately 100 families of Sonai village.
