In an outreach initiative, Assam Rifles flagged of National Integration Tour under Operation Sadbhavana from Srikona for 18 students and three teachers hailing from remote villages from Jiribam, Manipur.
The students were motivated to explore India’s rich cultural heritage and history and as ambassadors of their community exhorted them to share their experiences with their community and help in national integration.
The students were presented with track suit kits and caps, adding smiles to their faces.
The travel itinerary will cover New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur where they will be visiting historical monuments and other tourists attractions.
Assam Rifles regularly undertake National Integration Tour for the people of Northeast to promote national integration, broaden their horizons and foster national pride.
