ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY WEEK
Srikona Battalion of 21 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) celebrated 9th international yoga day by conducting various events of debate, painting competition and various sessions of Yoga practice at remotely located company operating bases in Manipur and Assam during the last one week.
The events was organised with an aim to give wider publicity to various benefits of Yoga with main emphasis on unity of mind and body with a holistic approach to health and mental well being of a person.
Troops and families participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The session was conducted by trained instructors who explained and demonstrated the various correct postures of ‘Asanas’ and ‘Pranayams’.
