Tomorrow 16th March, 2026 is the birth and death anniversary of Chandraprabha Saikiani, noted freedom fighter, social worker and pioneer of women’s emancipation movement of Assam and North East.
On the eve of her birth and death anniversary, a song of well-known singer Dikshu on women empowerment telecast from Doordarshan a few years back as humble tribute. The song was written by well known journslist Gautam Sarmah and produced by Bibhu Dutta for Doordarshan.
