Majuli Nimatighat BoatAccident Parinita Das

After the disastrous accident that occurred in Nimatighat, Jorhat where two ferried carrying passengers collided and one of them capsized.

Now, reports have emerged that at least 4 persons have lost their lives. This includes 3 adults and 1 child.

One person, identified as Parinita Das, a 38-years-old teacher at Majuli  Rangasahi College in Majuli and originally was from Guwahati kahilipara . She was found below the boat with ‘too much’ water entering her body.

She was taken to Jorhat Medical College wherein the doctors could not save her due to the criticality of her situation. And she succumbed to her injuries.

Two boats – Ma Kamala (travelling from Nimatighat to Majuli) and Tripkai (travelling from Majuli to Nimatighat)
