ASSAM RIFLES STOPPED SMUGGLING OF ILLICIT LIQUOR DURING RANDOM CHECK IN JIRIBAM DISTRICT OF MANIPUR

Assam Rifles stopped smuggling of a significant quantity of illicit liquor during a joint operation with Manipur police. On 23 August 24 at around 1600 hr While carrying out surprise checking of the Boats ferrying on Barak river near Barak River Outpost an individual, resident of Harinagar, Borobekra was caught with 96 bottles of illicit liquor while ferrying liquor from Fulerthal village of Cachar district of Assam to Jaguradhar market of Jiribam district of Manipur.
