Music of Mountains Echoed in Delhi’s Sunder Nursery with Red FM’s Himalayan Indie Fest

93.5 RED FM, India’s leading private radio and entertainment network presented its latest on-ground initiative – the Himalayan Indie Fest. Set against the backdrop of Sunder Nursery in the heart of Delhi, the fest celebrated the music, art, and beauty of the Himalayas on the 4th of February 2024.
Red FM has been consistent in its narratives of nurturing India’s diverse musical heritage. Therefore, in the spirit of being cultural evangelists Red FMs Himalayan Indie Fest became another meaningful step in a similar direction by creating a conscious retreat for music lovers. The evening was adorned by hand-picked artists who embody the essence of the Himalayan musical landscape like RigMona, Bahun, Unb (MC Panda), Trance Effect, Aabha Hanjura, Raman Negi, Rhem (Smoulder), and Faisal Ashoor. Along with music, Himalayan Indie Fest extended into a culinary adventure that the audience wholeheartedly enjoyed.
The artists at the Himalayan Indie Fest displayed a blend of musical talent and social consciousness. Their songs wove a narrative of themes of racism, recognition, and the profound beauty of the Himalayas and the immense need to preserve it. The artist’s voices were instruments of change and enlightenment. Apart from entertainment, each song served as a reminder of the struggles faced by communities, advocating for equality and understanding. Yet there was also a celebration of the inspiring landscapes and cultural richness of the Himalayan region. The event witnessed a massive footfall of audience that were seen vibing and dancing their hearts out to some of their favourite artists. The audience also treated their senses to the authentic taste of Himalayan cuisine from Yeti, Pema’s, Ahad Sons, and Home Chef Swati. Himalayan Indie Fest was a riveting success owing to the outpour of love by the audience.
