Assam Rifles observed World AIDS Day on 01 Dec 25 by conducting awareness lectures at Boro Bekra, Kadamtala, Kaimai and Nungba.
The initiative aimed at educating on HIV prevention, early detection and reducing the stigma associated with the disease.
Medical staff and trained instructors led interactive sessions, highlighting modes of transmission, safe practices and importance of regular testing. The effort also focused on encouraging responsible health behaviour and building a supportive environment for affected individuals.
The sessions benefitted more than 150 people.
